CN Guidance & Counseling Services’ Event on 10/25 Honors Two Community Stewards

Hicksville, NY (September 12, 2017)

CN Guidance & Counseling Services (Hicksville, NY, www.CNGuidance.org), a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families on Long Island affected by mental health and/or substance use disorders by delivering needed services in a person-centered way, formally announced its third annual Taste of Hope fundraiser.

Taste of Hope is a culinary event featuring tastings from some of Long Island’s premier restaurants, bakeries, wineries, and breweries, live music, along with a raffle for a variety of gifts —all raising money for the charitable cause. The event will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, from 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm at NYIT’s de Seversky Mansion of Old Westbury, NY. Kristin Thorne, Long Island Correspondent for WABC-TV’s Eyewitness News is the Master of Ceremonies for the event.

The evening will recognize and honor two community members who have supported CN Guidance’s mission consistently over the years – Maureen DiBernardo, a long time Sales Executive with Shiel Medical Laboratory, and Jane Kranz, Internship Coordinator of the local nonprofit TRI.

Serving as the event’s sponsors to-date are: Alcott HR, Jackson Lewis, Nawrocki Smith, Quality Laboratory Service, M&T Bank, Atlantic Chevrolet, Cook Maran & Associates, and Signature Bank.

“For this year’s Taste of Hope, we intend to build on the success of last year’s event,” said Chief Executive Officer of CN Guidance & Counseling Services Jeffrey Friedman. “The funds we raise at events such as the Taste of Hope enable us to help our fellow Long Islanders gain the support they need for recovery and a path to healthier, more fulfilling and productive lives.”

CN Guidance & Counseling Services’ Director of Development Debbie Mullarkey added, “In past years, our roster of restaurants, bakeries and other food and beverage purveyors were outstanding – many of whom have already committed to participating in this year’s event. We are excited to feature Chef Jonathan Scinto from Master Chef and Food Network “Chopped Live” as well as Chef Tom Schaudel of Jewel Restaurant.”
