Leading the community philanthropy were the owners of Cook Maran & Associates; Melrose Credit Union, Condon O’Meara, McGinty & Donnelly LLP, Dr. Print; and Knockout Pest Control, all businesses anchored on Long Island or in New York City that contributed funds and served as sponsors of various aspects of the event. CN Guidance also received dozens of contributions from generous residents across Long Island who supported the cause.

“I’d like to thank each and every financial contributor, community supporter, staff member, board member and volunteer for pouring themselves into this event and for making it a success by so many measures,” said Jeffrey Friedman, Chief Executive Officer of CN Guidance & Counseling. “By offering such generous commitments of time, energy, and financial resources, every single supporter of this event has helped enable new paths for the behavioral health of fellow Long Islanders. Together, we are sending a message to the community that mental health, including freedom from addictions, is important and when we act together, the quality of life for all of us is improved.”

Dozens of staff and volunteers gathered under sunny skies and temperatures in the low 80’s at the Town of Oyster Bay Golf Course in Woodbury to organize the 7/21 event, which featured a 1PM tee-off time, a 5PM cocktail reception, a 6PM buffet dinner, as well as raffle drawings, and a live auction.

The five businesses that led the corporate aspect of giving are known across the community for their quality services: Cook Maran & Associates, stands out as a leading full-service insurance agency; it was acknowledged as one of our Tournament Sponsors; Melrose Credit Union, in business since 1922, providingfinancial needs in a safe, sound manner while granting affordable loans for provident purposes, was the second Tournament Sponsor; Condon O’Meara, McGinty & Donnelly LLP, experts focusing on accounting for nonprofit organizations, served with appreciation as the Buffet Dinner Sponsor; Doctor Print, known for its multi-functional office devices and technologies as well as its managed print services and managed IT solutions, was the Platinum Sponsor; and Knockout Pest Control, an esteemed “go-to” pest management company across the New York metro area, was recognized as the Cocktail Sponsor for the event.
