Alicia Delgado
HHCM Assistant Director
Alicia Delgado joined CN Guidance & Counseling Services in February 2017, as a Care Coordinator in the Health Home Care Management program. This was Alicia’s first job following her Bachelors of Social Work degree. During Alicia’s time as a Care Coordinator, she fully immersed herself in the role of assisting clients in the community. Alicia not only provided quality services to all of her clients but always made sure to build a rapport with each individual.
Although Alicia valued her work with clients, she found herself wanting to grow within the program. This led Alicia to pursue a Masters of Social Work degree. Since 2019, Alicia has managed to continue to grow within the program from Senior Coordinator, to Project Manager, to Program Supervisor, and most recently promoted to Assistant Director of HHCM.
Alicia enjoys being involved in the day to day aspects of HHCM in addition to working behind the scenes. Alicia is committed to her staff’s growth at CN Guidance & Counseling Services as well as her own and strives to provide support to everyone.
Stephanie Deshommes
ICRS/CCBHC Office Manager
Stephanie began her employment journey at CNG in October of 2018 as an Administrative Assistant working with CCBHC and the Mobile Recovery Unit. Although she may have come with limited experience working with individuals who have mental health and/or substance use concerns, that didn’t scare her away. With the help and support of her team coupled with her ability to learn on the fly, Stephanie rose to meet (and exceed!) the challenge.
Witnessing the impact of the work that the agency has on their clients, staff, and community inspired Stephanie to pursue a degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. “I was humbled through the experience of being the first point of contact when an individual, who may be struggling with their mental health and/or substance use concerns, calls to enroll in services. Often times I could detect the nervousness in the voice of the caller. I used my skills that I had learned on the job to provide assurance to the clients and assist them with the enrollment process. Many of these clients continued on to receive services through the agency and this provided me with a sense of gratification knowing that I was able to play a part in the health of these clients”. While Stephanie does not deliver direct services to them, it is a great feeling to know that she is part of a team that truly cares for and helps people overcome challenges in their lives. This ignited her desire to help more on an organizational level. Stephanie has decided to further her academic education and expand her knowledge so that she can play more of an integral role in the development and growth of an agency she feels so passionately about.
After proven success during her 3 years working with the Mobile Recovery Unit, Stephanie was promoted to Office Manager of the Integrated Counseling and Recovery Services program. Stephanie is looking forward to her continued personal and professional growth at CNG.
Erin Smalley
HHCM Office Manager
Erin Smalley started with CN Guidance and Counseling Services, February 2011, her first legitimate job after graduating from college. Erin started as a Secretarial Assistant and shortly thereafter became the assistant to our COO.
In 2016, Erin was promoted to the Office Manager in the Health Home Care Management Program. In 2018, Erin’s role expanded and she became the Office Manager for 9 additional programs providing administrative support.
Erin finds enjoyment in working on larger projects such as building out and moving programs into a new space. Erin has great attention to detail and has the ability to hone in on smaller details to make the implementation process more seamless. As a result, Erin is often looped into many agency level initiatives for added support.
At CN Guidance and Counseling Services most recent staff day for all employees, Erin won the prestigious Barbara Bartell Award. This award was given to Erin for always being the first to respond, to volunteer, and to handle things that most people wouldn’t even think to deal with on their own. Erin also was in charge of organizing the PPE and ensuring safety plans were adhered to for office and field based teams always keeping our Plainview facility running smoothly. Erin is the first person to arrive at the building in the morning and the last one to leave.
Erin often works silently in the background but is always the one to ensure the group has considered all aspects of a project or implementation – often drawing our attention to the smaller details of a plan, like how many data ports we actually need in a bullpen.
Erin continues to be an asset in our agency and is always very involved in volunteer opportunities and bringing our agency to the next level.
