The code of conduct and compliance standards

The CN Guidance Corporate Compliance Manual sets forth standards of conduct that personnel employed by or associated with Central Nassau Guidance & Counseling Services, Inc. (“CN Guidance,” or also known as “CNGCS”) are expected to follow. In creating the Manual, CNGCS’ goal is to ensure compliance with the myriad laws, rules and regulations that govern our daily operations, including, among others things, those relating to: (i) the quality of services we provide; (ii) our coding, billing and documentation of services; (iiі) our general business practices; and (iv) our referral relationships. CNGCS also wants to ensure that we are operating pursuant to the highest ethical and legal standards.

Questions and concerns

If you have a question or comment concerning a compliance related issue or if you are unsure of what the proper course of conduct might be in a specific situation, or if you believe that any of our standards of conduct or procedures (whether set forth in the Manual or elsewhere) may have been violated, you are expected to contact the CNGCS Compliance Officer, Ariel Coffman, by telephone at (516) 822-6111 x1227 or by email at acoffman@centralnassau.org, or via the CN Guidance Compliance Hotline 1-855-662-SAFE or Safehotline.com Company ID: 8718133614. Anonymous reports can also be left on the Compliance Helpline.

As per 18 NYCRR Part 521- lines of communication to the Compliance Officer and such lines of communication must be made available to all affected individuals and all Medicaid recipients of service by CN Guidance. In the event that any affected individual has a compliance related report concerning fraud, waste or abuse connected to Medicaid or Medicaid Managed Care claims/services they should reach out to the agency’s Compliance Officer, Ariel Coffman.

You may contact the Compliance Officer at any time, either in person or in writing, with any compliance-related question or concern. Questions or concerns may be raised anonymously, if you wish. It is a basic principle of our Compliance Program that there will be no retribution for asking questions, raising concerns about the Code or Compliance Standards or reporting possibly improper conduct. All reports to the Compliance Officer will be held in the strictest confidence possible, consistent with the need to investigate the matter.
